Home Groups

Raccoon Ford Christian Fellowship encourages it's members to participate in regional house groups.  The purpose of the house group is to provide an opportunity for people to develop close-knit relationships with other believers.  The focus of each house group varies depending upon the interests of those who attend.  Groups are currently emphasizing outreach, worship, fellowship and prayer for personal needs, and bible study.  House groups meet weekly or bi-weekly.  Descriptions of each group are listed below:

The Culpeper Home Group meets on the first and third Fridays of each month at a rotating location (a home of one of the members). The meeting usually begins with a time of worship.  The main goal of this home group is to be open to the Holy Spirit and to evangelize our community.  If you need directions or would like more information about the logistics of this group, contact Scott or Carol Thomas at 672-7472.

The Locust Grove Home Group meets every Tuesday, led by Gary and Gail Stevens and meeting at 7:00 pm at the home of Earle and Ann Harrell.  The primary emphasis is group Bible study.  Informal discussion, guided study of the Scriptures, fellowship and prayer for personal needs occur on a regular basis.  For more information contact Gary or Gail at 972-3351.

The Madison Home Group is led by Jack and Doris Edwards. Meetings are held at the home of Dewey and Lorrie Turner every other Thursday evening, beginning at 7:30 pm.  This group has a strong emphasis on fellowship, worship, and personal ministry in an atmosphere of sanctuary.  Two social events occur annually: a Seder dinner is held on the Thursday of Holy Week, and a Madison area summer picnic takes place in early September. If you have any other questions about this home group, please feel free to call Jack or Doris at 540-948-3467.

The Orange Home Group focuses on the study of the Scriptures and is lead by George Stroud.  They meet at the home of Johnny and Sheena Payette every Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm.  Children are welcome and are encouraged to join with the adults for fellowship and study.  This very bonded group enjoys times of personal ministry and openly welcomes anyone looking for a place to grow in the Scriptures, have fun, and enjoy true Christian fellowship.
